Equipment Compatibility

R-454B is intended only for new equipment specifically designed, certified, and labeled for R-454B use. It is not a direct replacement for refrigerant in existing R-410A systems. Never charge R-454B into equipment that is not certified for A2L refrigerants. Always follow the equipment manufacturer’s specified refrigerant charge amount, components, installation procedures, and applicable charge limits.

A2L Safety Requirements

R-454B is a mildly flammable A2L refrigerant. Keep away from open flames, sparks, hot surfaces, and other ignition sources. Ensure proper ventilation and use approved A2L refrigerant recovery machines, vacuum pumps, leak detectors, gauges, hoses, cylinders, and other service tools. Follow all applicable building codes, fire codes, safety standards, workplace requirements, and manufacturer instructions.

Certification Requirements

Purchase of this product requires EPA Section 608 technician certification or qualified employer documentation. Charging and Handling

For professional use only. Use approved procedures to withdraw and charge R-454B from the liquid phase to maintain blend composition. Do not mix with R-410A or any other refrigerant.
